Important technical limitation: Ceiling-mounted thermal cameras cannot see through vehicle bodywork or battery enclosures. The concept aims to identify externally observable thermal anomalies and fires, not guarantee detection of an internal battery fault before visible external symptoms. Camera coverage, detection distance and alarm reliability require representative testing.

Design priorities

Four standardized modules

Identical thermal cameras arranged in different directions, with overlapping fields of view to be confirmed by optical modelling.

Manufacturable enclosure

Matte-black, simplified two-part housing with a robust bolted ceiling bracket and protected cabling.

Alarm integration

Planned support for monitored alerts and building safety interfaces, subject to detailed electrical design and certification assessment.

BatWatch Industrial 360 is a development concept, not a certified fire alarm or a substitute for required fire detection systems. Specifications including IP rating, power consumption, coverage, dimensions and fire detection performance are unverified targets.
